Wash cool and gentle. Warm or cold water on a gentle cycle is all linen ever needs.
Skip the softener. Linen softens on its own; fabric softener coats the fibre and slows it down.
Tumble low, or line dry. A low tumble keeps it supple; line drying keeps it crisp. Pull it out a touch damp either way.
Don't fear wrinkles. The relaxed look is the point — but a quick steam smooths things for a dinner party.
Rotate your sets. Giving linen a rest between uses lets the fibres recover and extends its life.
