Our flax is grown in the linen belt that runs from Normandy to the Netherlands, then spun and woven on heritage looms in northern Portugal.
After weaving, every bolt is tumbled with smooth stones in large drums — the step that breaks the fibre in and gives the cloth its soft, sandwashed hand.
Nothing is over-finished. We want the linen to arrive honest: a little irregular, already lived-in, ready for years of use.
